Episode 30: Carry Alongs

Episode 30... you can listen to it today. Tell all your friends!

I had the privilege of having Carrie A. Sullivan (carriealong on ravelry) join me for the show. Carrie is the designer behind the new book Carry Alongs.

I also have the very first preview/review segment with the editors of Vogue. We talked about the new Spring/Summer 2008 issue of Knit Simple. Talk about interesting to hear the "real" thoughts of the people behind the magazine. It was a blast to chat with all of them and I can't wait to do it again soon!

Music (60 second clips)

Art In Me by Jars Of Clay
Gettin' Jiggy with It by Will Smith
Just the Two of us by Will Smith
Cuban Pete by Jim Carry in The Mask

Books

There were a LOAD of Books mentioned on the show today. I will have to fill this part in later! Sorry...time is running away from me!

Question

Okay, so it has been suggested to me that I add a "tip jar" to my show so my loyal listeners can help me out with some of the cost of running the show and for my huge amount of time I give putting this together. Not to mention I really want to go to TNNA and CGOA but need a little extra cash to make that happen. so, the question is...What do you all think about that?
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think :-)

Thanks and I hope you enjoy the show!

I loved the episode! Thanks for all your hard work...I love the interviews that you've been doing lately.

A question..what is Carrie' ravelry name? I'd love to look up that jelly bag.

Hey Marly...
I just wanted to say thanks for all of the effort that you put into the podcast...I was catching up on some of your episodes yesterday and just wanted to let ya know how great it was! Your laugh is infectious!

Marly - I love your podcast, but the last few episodes you've done interviews, your portion comes through clear but the interviewees audio is nothing but scratchy white noise. I'm getting them from iTunes. Is it just me?

I have been recording the episodes in stereo so my voice comes through the left speaker and the guest comes out of the right...or the other way around...you get my point though.

I haven't heard of anybody else having problems. I know that when I listen to the show via the website and through ITunes (yes, I listen to it in both places to make sure everything is okay...doing this podcast takes so much time) I don't have any problems.

Is anybody else having any problems?

I'm not having problems, but I don't like it in stereo because sometimes I listen in my car with only one earbud in.

I am sorry Emano...I have to record in stereo so I am able to edit the whole thing. Especially when the person I am interviewing and I talk over one another. I am able to just edit out what I am saying so the other person can be heard.

I wish there was another way but this was the only way in which I can make sure you get everything that both people are saying ;-)
